Clayton Lake is a
176-acre impoundment, about 15 miles northwest of Clayton and north of U.S. 64.
The lake offers outstanding fishing. Four state-record
walleyes have been caught since 1980. The
lake has one boat ramp and
there is no fishing November through February. Fish species include rainbows,
walleye, largemouth, catfish and big bluegill.
