: Lake Atkins: Lucky Landing (479-641-7615) reported fishing being very slow in the past sevedral days. Water level is normal, though. Bream are fair on worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Bass are biting fair on spinnerbaits and topwater lures. Catfishing is fair on worms. .

Built in 1956, the 752-acre
lake is one of several relatively shallow, timbered lakes built on feeder
streams of the Arkansas River in west-central and central Arkansas. It's a
cousin to Lake Conway, Lake Overcup and Harris Brake Lake. All four have
reputations of four or more decades of good bream, crappie catfish and
largemouth bass fishing.
