: Lake Atkins: Lucky Landing (479-641-7615) said the water was still falling last week, but it seems to have settled at about 4 feet below normal. The surface temperature is 57 to 54 degrees and dropping daily with the weather. Fishing has been fairly good for crappie and bream. Bass picked up a little, but its still mostly small bass being caught. Catfishing was slow. Reported by: Arkansas F & G |

| About: -
Built in 1956, the 752-acre
lake is one of several relatively shallow, timbered lakes built on feeder
streams of the Arkansas River in west-central and central Arkansas. It's a
cousin to Lake Conway, Lake Overcup and Harris Brake Lake. All four have
reputations of four or more decades of good bream, crappie catfish and
largemouth bass fishing.
