: Horseshoe Lake: Big River Marine Xpress, Excel and Alweld dealer (870-635-0202) said a few white bass have been caught in 12 to 15 feet of water on crankbaits trolled early and late in the day, but no one is fishing lately with the heat.

water and massive stands of ancient cypress trees. A modern highway circles the
old river cutoff.
