Conditions : Brewer Lake: Jan Johnson at Brewer Lake Bait Shop (501-354-4108) said the water is still very high. Cool nights and rain have scattered the crappie. They are hanging over brush piles in the afternoons at 6 to 8 feet deep. Trolling with minnows or jigs is very effective. Pink/white and popsicle are good jig colors this week. Bass are good at 5 to 6 feet deep on watermelon and black worms. White bass are in the creek mouths feeding on shad. Blue and channel cats are taking large minnows and bream on jugs set at 15 feet deep. Flatheads are beginning to move onto the flats and are taking live bait at 5 to 10 feet deep. Redear are fair on redworms fished on the bottom around the shore.
