: South Branch River: Streams and rivers throughout the eastern panhandle are on the rise due to snow melt and the water is becoming turbid. Stream temperatures have risen to the upper 30s. Some anglers have reported catches of smallmouth bass especially on the warmer days. Flows may be too high for good fishing by the weekend but should drop again next week.
