Conditions : SNAKE RIVER: While the season is open, expect slow fishing until fish begin arriving in greater numbers during the fall.

Bass fishing should be good and remain good throughout the summer. Look for bass near steep banks and structure.

Steelhead run productions are exceptionally low, a reduction in the daily bag limit is needed to reduce angling pressure on wild steelhead stocks, and protect production objectives for the Snake River steelhead program. Reducing harvest will ensure that enough hatchery steelhead escape recreational fisheries to meet broodstock production objectives, and to ensure rules are consistent with the state of Idaho within an interstate waterway.
