: DESCHUTES RIVER: Fishing remains productive for steelhead in the Sherars Falls area. Steelhead angling has been good from the mouth upstream to Warm Springs, with good numbers of fish now dispersed throughout the entire river. Anglers are reporting good success on both flies and lures. Cooler winter weather should alleviate any water quality problems stemming from White River, and anglers should expect good water quality. Anglers who catch a tagged hatchery steelhead with an orange anchor tag, are encouraged to report catch information to ODFW at 541-296-4628 Reported by: Oregon D.F.W |
