About: -
Blackfoot Reservoir, covers 18,000 surface acres when full, making it second only to
American Falls in size of reservoirs in southeastern Idaho. It has rainbow and
cutthroat trout including both wild Yellowstone cutthroat and hatchery reared
Bear Lake cutthroat. The hatchery cutthroat are identified by a clipped adipose
fin and are available for angler harvest as are the rainbow trout. Wild
cutthroat must be released as part of a Yellowstone cutthroat recovery program.
Fuel, parking, docks and camp sites are available.
