| Conditions
: Union Reservoir (Calkins) - The reservoir is currently full. Anglers have been catching wiper ranging from 15 to 24 inches. The most productive baits have been mussels, crayfish and shad minnows. Wipers are starting to boil in the mornings and evenings. The reservoir was recently stocked with trout and fishermen are having very good success on typical baits. Boat inspections are mandatory before launching. The current hours of operation for inspections are 6am to 6pm, boats may not launch after these hours. Current park hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Camping is closed for the season. Reported by: Colorado D.O.W |

| About: -
Union Reservoir is fast becoming one of the Colorado's finest Wiper
fisheries. Wiper 15 to 26 inches are common. In recent years, Union Reservoir
has become the hot spot for fly fishermen who enjoy the thrill of catching Wiper.
A healthy population of Trout, Crappie,
Catfish, Bass, Sunfish, Walleye and Tiger Muskie provide a quality fishing
experience. Fishing is available along the majority of the shoreline or from a
boat. A fish cleaning station and accessible fishing pier are provided for
your convenience.
Union Reservoir offers camping beginning May 1st. No hookups or dump stations
are available. The 28 trailer sites are located near the waterfront and offer a
picturesque view. The 14 tent sites are located near the beach. Quiet hours are
observed from 10 pm - 6 am. Camping permits are $8.00 per night plus the gate
fee. Sites can be reserved by calling the Reservoir office at 303-772-1265.
